After a viral video showing a man in a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu hoodie pointing a gun at another man went viral, Rener Gracie was able to get in touch with the man with the gun to try to better understand what had happened that led to the altercation.
The man, named as Jacob, shared his side of the story in a video with Gracie, explaining how the other man involved in the altercation allegedly attacked him after Jacob arrived home to a confusing parking situation in front of his house involving a moving van. Jacob says he pulled out his gun to defend himself, though he hoped not to have to use it.
Hours later, after the situation had deescalated, the two men saw each other again on the same street. Jacob says the other man apologized and told Jacob that his dad had just died and he believed that Jacob was parking his car to antagonize him, unaware that Jacob was simply arriving home.
Thankfully, everyone involved in the situation made it out ok.
