Elmar França, on the ground, is instructed by Grandmaster Rosado. Graciemag.
Elmar França, a jolly 78-year-old, is one of those BJJ examples we like to see. A regular at Rosado Jiu-Jitsu in Rio de Janeiro, Elmar has all the traits of a champion — and we got to see him in action.
His sparring partner was Prof. Marcelo Maia, 62, always under the gaze of Grandmaster Carlos Rosado, the only red-belt ever graduated by the hands of Carlson Gracie.
Rosado teases that Elmar’s current pace of weekly training will likely suffice to make him a black-belt by the end of the year. You can check out below some of Elmar’s skills.
