The champion of the UFC welterweight division and a Jiu-Jitsu black belt, Georges Saint-Pierre is on the road to recovery following knee surgery. The Canadian star is set to take on the interim champion of the weight class, Carlos Condit, in November and has been has been doing his physiotherapy on an ultramodern zero-gravity treadmill.
“The treadmill takes the pressure off the legs, as though you were on the moon. It’s great for recuperating after knee surgery,” explains Ótono Filho, the physiotherapist at team Nova União Ceará, who works with the likes of Caio Magalhães, Eduardo Cachorrão, Carlos Índio and other Jiu-Jitsu black belts.
