After defeating bitter rival, Dillon Danis, once again, multiple-time EBI Champion Garry Tonon couldn’t help but take a shot at Dillon’s friend and student, UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.
“Guys, there was a lot of social media banter leading up to this match,” Garry said. “And I’d just like to say to Dillon, I apologize…for absolutely fooking nothing! The two-time champ does what he fooking wants!”
Anyone familiar with Conor McGregor’s bragging and thick, Irish accent would obviously get the reference.
Despite his history with Garry, Dillon did not seem to be offended. He smiled while listening to Garry’s post-fight speech and complimented his opponent after the match.
“I don’t think there’s anything to say, you know,” Dillon said. “He beat me fair and square, and that’s it. He’s a really good grappler, man, and he did what he had to do.”
