Four-Time World Champion And Olympic Champion Jordan Burroughs Thinking About Trying Mixed Martial Arts

Four-Time World Champion And Olympic Champion Jordan Burroughs may be thinking about trying his luck in the mixed martial arts cage.

Burroughs posted a picture of himself in the UFC octagon on the set of the upcoming TUF series, which will be coached by Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic and Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier. Pictures of the two can be seen in the background.

Jordan posted, “What are the odds,” which could have been meant to mock boxing champion Floyd “Money” Mayweather, who also teased making his debut in the cage.

At only 29 years old and having a strong wrestling background behind him, there is no doubt Burroughs has what it takes to make it in mixed martial arts. Former Bellator Champion “Funky” Ben Askren is also a former wrestler and Olympian, and he retired from MMA undefeated.

Not everyone is enthusiastic about Jordan Burroughs’ possible MMA debut. One person commented in the Facebook thread:

Sorry to say, but you would get messed up in the octagon. Stick to wrestling.

Another said:

Don’t do it. You are a great wrestler one of the best of all time

One person even questioned his seriousness, stating that Burroughs once said he would never fight in MMA.

But if he is serious, MMA fighters in his weight division could have some trouble on their hands.

What are the odds?
