After a highly publicized fight (and victory) against Conor McGregor in August of last year, Floyd Mayweather will be going up against kickboxing sensation Tenshin Nasukawa at Rizin on New Year’s Eve this year, according to ESPN.
The fight will take place in Saitama, Japan. The match has been called a “Super Challenge,” and many details (including the rules, weight limit, number of rounds, and what kind of gloves the fighters will wear) are currently unknown. Nasukawa, at just 20 years old to Mayweather’s 41, is 27-0 in kickboxing with 21 knockouts and 4-0 in MMA. Mayweather (50-0 in boxing) posted a photo in Rizin MMA gloves with the date of the fight.
