It was announced today that FloSports to launch new sports verticals dedicated Jiu-Jitsu to expand its group of sports sites later this month. The launch of FloMuscle and FloGrappling will provide extensive coverage of bodybuilding and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, joining the already successful sites held by the brand such as FloTrack, FloWrestling and FloElite.
The new sites are the result of the successful acquisition of FloSports’ FloSoftball in June, which included a $3 million venture debt funding from Silicon Valley Bank. Thus far, FloSports has raised $11 million in the past year, which includes an $8 million investment by Causeway Media Partners, helping it to double its network of sports sites.
The new FloMuscle site will debut on Saturday, August 15 by live streaming two major bodybuilding events. In addition, the site will feature original series, special technique videos and breaking news in the sport, with the aim of catering not only to fans but also to real competitors who are training in the sport.
