Rafael Lovato Jr. finds himself as a -250 favorite over Arges. An IBJJF gi and no-gi world champion, Lovato has shifted his focus back to jiu-jitsu competition since his retirement from MMA in 2019. He is undefeated in Fight To Win competition this year with wins over Gabriel Almeida and Alexandro Ceconi.
Gabriel Arges is an accomplished competitor in his own right, however he has competed sparingly over the past year. In his last match, he defeated Marcio Andre by decision at Fight To Win 151.
The evening’s co-main event is a fun one between fan-favorites Johnny Tama and Edwin Najmi. One of the sport’s most active competitors, Tama’s last Fight To Win appearance was a 2020 win over Jackson Nagai. He’ll have his hands full against Najmi, who is known for his flying submissions and crowd-pleasing style.
Lower on the card, ADCC medalist and longtime veteran of MMA and jiu-jitsu Baret Yoshida takes on Jeff Nolasco, and brown belt no-gi world champion Matheus Luna (now a black belt) squares off with veteran black belt Yago de Souza.
