With Who’s #1 now in the books, the Fight 2 Win team is back to their regularly scheduled programming this Saturday for F2W 136.
The main event will see Kaynan Duarte returning to the stage for the main event: a heavyweight no-gi title bout against Vinicius Ferreira. Duarte has won a variety of major events, including last year’s ADCC, Pans, the UAEJJF Abu Dhabi World Pro, the Kasai Pro Grand Prix, and the Spyder Invitational Grand Prix. He also won Worlds last year, but earlier this week, it was announced that he would be stripped of his title following a failed drug test.
Ferreira, like Duarte, is a relatively new black belt, having been promoted to the rank in September of 2018. He’s been steadily building his own impressive resume, having won Pans last year and Brazilian Nationals in both gi (2019) and no-gi (2019). Duarte is a formidable opponent, but Ferreira is worthy of the challenge and title shot.
The co-main event will also be a title match, this time in the gi between Pans and No-Gi Pans champion Gabi McComb and No-Gi Worlds champion and ADCC veteran Jena Bishop. Their match will follow an exciting 170lb gi match between Edwin Najmi and Johnny Tama, who made history as the first Ecuadorian world champion at the end of last year.
With many other big matches and athletes taking place on the stage throughout the night in San Diego, this will be a F2W event you won’t want to miss. Check out the preview below, and make sure you’re watching when it all goes down this Saturday, February 15 on FloGrappling!
