Felipe “Preguiça”Pena is on fire! Not only did the ironically named “sloth” score the first submission of the night, but he is coming off a championship win at the Marianas.
Still, we have to get a lot of credit to Erberth Santos who, despite hurting his foot in a previous match, limped his way down the ramp to face one of the biggest names in competitive BJJ.
Erberth Santos Defeats Mahamed Aly At ACBJJ Heavyweight Grand Prix
Erberth held his own in the first round, playing 50/50 guard against Pena and landing some sweeps.
The second round, however, was all Pena. Felipe hit an early takedown over Santos and hopped on his back and nailed an impressive standing bow and arrow choke.
Needless to say, Romulo Barral and everyone at Gracie Barra Northridge must be proud!
