There seems to be a bit of a disagreement over who chose the rules for the upcoming match between Gordon Ryan and Felipe Pena at Studio 540 this Saturday.
In an interview with FloGrappling, Pena told interviewer Hywel Teague that he was simply accepting Gordon’s rules for the match.
They’re the rules that he [Gordon Ryan] chose, but I accepted and I can’t complain. I will be happy to have a match with him under normal rules too, but I am sure he wouldn’t accept.
A couple hours afterwards, Gordon Ryan fired back at Pena, saying he only agreed to the rules after Pena asked to change them.
Funny…. seeing as the rules we agreed on at 1st were no time limit rules. Those were actually the rules I picked. Then he ]Pena] messaged me asking to change the rules to 1 hour ebi ot. When I agreed. He then messaged me days later asking to do 30 minutes ebi rules. Ahha. I changed the rules FOR him. And Saturday he will fall under those rules.
