For fans of Jiu Jitsu, there is nothing like connecting with others who share your passion for the martial art. At the Jiu Jitsu in the Park event, visitors will have the chance to get some rolls in and meet new friends. There was some excellent raffle prizes . A percentage of the sales will go to the Karma rescue, so it is recommended for all practitioners to stop by and see what will happen on the next event.
Jee S Kim originally started the Jiu-JItsu at the park as a way to get out of the gym setting with her teammates, then she teamed up with Mike Hofer to organize something bigger to bring more of the jiu jitsu community together. Eric Medina and Joey Hauss also helped organize and contributed the majority of the mats. This particular event with Karma Rescue was something I had wanted to do for a bit, collaborating with a dog rescue program.
