Enyo Grappling 5: UK vs Ireland took place on November 18th, 2023 and the promotion’s first team grappling event delivered some fantastic results. It was action-packed from start to finish and there was some great preliminary card matchups leading up to the main attraction, which was two teams of exciting competitors representing the UK & Ireland battling it out. The two teams were relatively evenly-matched in the first period and with two women on each side managing to get a submission win, the teams were tied going into the break. The second period started and the score was 3-3, but Ireland really ran away with the match at this point. Along with two draws, the team collectively registered four submission wins and didn’t lose a single match, improving the score to 10-3 after receiving 3 bonus points for eliminating the entire team. Although they only managed one submission win in the final period, they received another 3 bonus points for eliminating the entire team. This meant that team captain Rosa Walsh had led Ireland to a 14-3 win, as they became the promotion’s first team grappling champions.
