The organizers behind Fight to Win Pro recently announced a series of submission-only matches for February 3 in Los Angeles. The card will feature Edwin Najmi vs DJ Jackson, Joao Assis vs Jeff Monson, Garry Tonon vs Gabriel Arges, and a number of other matches featuring younger talent. DJ Jackson will have to fight Edwin Najmi in a gi match with a 10-minute time limit.
Garry Tonon vs Gabriel Arges will have a 10-minute time limit as well, but will be without the gi. Tonon recently won The 540 Superfight event against Kim Terra, but he’ll be facing some tough competition. Arges was named the Breakout Black Belt of 2016 by FloGrappling immediately after winning the World Pro tournament. He’s a brown belt no-gi world champion as well.
Fight to Win Pro’s backers also announced that AJ Agazarm and Bill Cooper would fight at the Los Angeles show for the very first time. Cooper is a native of Southern California and AJ recently moved to LA, so the crowd should back both of these great young grapplers.
