Top UFC lightweight contender Dustin Poirier will have his shot at Nate Diaz on November 3 when the UFC returns to Madison Square Garden in NYC, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The fight will be Diaz’s (19-11) first in two years, with his last fight ending in a close decision loss against Conor McGregor. but Poirier has recently been active in the cage — he defeated Eddie Alvarez in the second round in last weekend’s Calgary UFC event, bringing his record up to 24-5 with 1 no-contest ruling. The two will face off in a lightweight bout at UFC 230.
The main event for the card hasn’t been announced yet, but the Jiu-Jitsu Times will provide updates for this event as they become available.
