Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, the UFC lightweight title challenger has just failed a drug test but the good news is that he was not found guilty of taking banned substances. The failed test has been described as a “whereabouts failure” because Cerrone did not disclose his whereabouts to the UFC/USADA when he traveled to Vegas.
Apparently, Donald Cerrone was supposed to disclose his whereabouts in case the UFC/USADA show up for a surprise test. Since he did not leave this information, he has “failed the test”. However, he is a first offender so this violation does not affect his upcoming title bout with Rafael dos Anjos.
“In the new testing, you have to tell them [UFC/USADA] your whereabouts,” Cerrone revealed. “F***, I don’t know where I’m going to be. They show up to my house and are like ‘where are you this weekend?’ It was on the weekend that I went to Vegas on a whim.
“They were like ‘where are you?’ and I was like ‘I’m in Vegas’. And they were like ‘we’re at your house’. And I was like ‘well that sucks.'”
“So I failed. I failed my drug test.”
