Recently on the MMA Hour hosted by Ariel Helwani, UFC Bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw admits of hurting his sparring partners. Responding to a Helwani question about aggression, Dillashaw said, “I definitely have had to work on it. It’s [aggression] just my competitive edge in practice and is definitely a fault of mine. I don’t do it maliciously. I have tried to control it and continue to try to control it and bring it out only when I need to.”
Dillashaw recently made the decision to leave his longtime team Alpha Male headed by Urijah Faber to join Duane Ludwig’s Elevation Fight Team. He will defend his UFC title against Dominick Cruz in Boston in January, 2016.
