Even after weighing in seven pounds over for UFC 224, Mackenzie Dern’s submission win against Amanda Cooper was enough to bump her to the number 15 spot in the UFC Strawweight rankings.
Angela Hill and Felice Herring are the first to publicly address their displeasure with the UFC ranking system. Hill was bumped from the number 15 spot in favor of Dern, and she had this to say:
“Well this is a big fat slap in the face. I’ve fought top competition, beat #14 and the rankings finally grace me with #15 ranking, just to get bumped by a f**king flyweight.”
Felice Herrig is currently ranked at number eight, and she still had plenty to say about the rankings:
