Not so long ago in a dojo not all that far away, Professor Andy Hung decided to hit the Meraki BJJ guys with a dose of the dark side. Billed as a “unique lapel choke from the back,” Hung calls it the Sith Choke and it cinches tight fast.
Starting from the back with the seatbelt in place, your choking hand is your bottom hand. After establishing a deep collar grip from the bottom you’ll throw your legs over the opponent’s shoulder and under your gripping arm. Lock your guard. You free forearm will make it across the last bit of exposed neck to complete the choke.
