Good news: Craig Jones will be going up against Tye Ruotolo at a Who’s Number One event after all.
FloGrappling has announced that Jones vs. Ruotolo has been rebooked for the upcoming WNO event scheduled to take place on June 18. The match was originally booked for April 30 and was set to be the main event, but Jones had to pull out after having an adverse reaction to a COVID-19 vaccine. Ruotolo ended up competing (and winning) against William Tackett in the co-main event instead.
Jones is also scheduled to compete against Luiz Panza in this weekend’s WNO event following yet another big shakeup in the jiu-jitsu world — Panza was originally set to face Gordon Ryan in the main event, but Jones stepped in after Ryan announced that he would be taking an indefinite leave of absence from competition due to ongoing health issues.
There are still plenty of matches yet to be announced for the June 18 WNO event, so keep an eye out for other athletes we’ll be seeing on the card.
Who’s Number One: Jones vs. Ruotolo will take place on Friday, June 18, and can be streamed live on FloGrappling.
