Cowboy Begs Conor to “Get a Grip” So They Can Fight

Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone has been on a tear recently, logging another “W” last night over Al Iaquinta at UFC Ottawa fight night. The 36-year-old MMA veteran kicked of 2019 by declaring he was coming for the lightweight belt, and has been showing renewed grit and focus in every fight since.

The only thing he seems to want more than the belt is a matchup with Conor McGregor, someone he’s called out multiple times since his transition to 155 and who he called out again from across the Canadian border.

“Get a grip on life and lets go!” Cerrone said to Conor through ESPN’s media table, referencing McGregor’s increasingly public personal distractions–including arrests, felony charges, and an array of out-of-the-ring scuffles with fighters and fans alike. “Come on! Put your bank account against my bank account!”

Cerrone is now ranked 8th in the division, with McGregor a few slots ahead at 3rd. His record stands at 36-11.
