Four students of the GMA member Claudio França Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu School in Santa Cruz, California, earned black belt rank in a decorated ceremony December 3rd that included promotions of 368 children and adults in all belt levels.
Master Claudio França awarded black belt rank to: Dylan Tescher, 2010 Pan American Games and US Open brown belt champion; Erik Benaquisto, 2011 US Open silver medalist; Matt Slatter; and Chris Zephro.
Grand Master Mansor, 9th degree red belt, presided over the ceremonies. Each of the new black belts has trained under Master França for over 10 years.
