UFC bantamweight fighter Cat Zingano is back on the mats training Jiu-Jitsu.
She posted yesterday a quick video of her first day sparring with the gi since her knee injury followed by surgery earlier this year.
The injury made her step down from the coaching position at TUF 18 and the spot as title contender in the upcoming UFC 168, against Ronda Rousey.
Miesha Tate got both jobs.
On the final steps of a long recovery, Zingano went on twitter today and launched a series of messages to her opponents to be and also to Dana White:
Hey @MieshaTate after my first day back grappling, what do you think?Think youd potentially be ready by May if U win?
Hey @RondaRousey ,not too bad for day 1 huh? Can U imagine a few months from now? Im coming after your belt!
Big daddy @danawhite ,check out my first roll back today at BJJ.
Watch cat Zingano rolling again after seven months of recovery.
She expects to be ready to fight in the UFC again next May.
