Multiple-time world champion and 2015 ADCC champion Rodolfo Viera will face Australia’s Jacob Holyman-Tague at ACB 88. The MMA event will feature a fight between Thiago Silva and Chris Camozzi as the headliner.
Viera is a highly accomplished jiu-jitsu athlete, having won major competitions like Euros, Pans, and the UAEJJF World Pro in addition to his victories at Worlds and ADCC. He made the move to MMA in 2017, where he’s now 3-0 with two submission victories and one TKO. This will be his second ACB event — he previously fought at ACB 82, where he defeated Alexander Neufang by TKO in the first round.
Holyman-Tague has a combined record of 5-1 during his amateur and professional fighting career, with all three of his amateur-level victories being by submission. He may not have the grappling record of Viera, but his years of experience in the cage may put him at an advantage.
ACB 88 will take place in Brisbane, Australia on June 16 at the Chandler Arena.
