Breaking News: Kevin Casey Rescinds His Challenge To Gordon Ryan

On December 4th, Kevin Casey, a BJJ black belt and a professional fighter challenged EBI and ADCC champion Gordon Ryan to a Combat Jiu-Jitsu match… 

However, in an… awkward… turn of events Mr. Casey rescinded his challenge today because he apparently didn’t understand the rules of Combat Jiu-Jitsu when he initially made the challenge.

Finally in a bizarre twist, this saga took an unexpected and mildly amusing turn today when Casey realized that Combat Jiu-Jitsu is EBI rules with slaps, and felt that that rule set is not one under which he wants to compete against Ryan…

So let's get this straight…. Kevin Casey CHALLENGED ME to a combat jiu jitsu super fight. Then we have a sponsor offer $10,000 to the winner and Kevin Casey declined because he didn't like the ruleset. Lmao how do you call someone out under a specific ruleset and then decline the match because you don't like the ruleset. Hahaha hope you enjoyed your 5 minutes of fame you clown. Who else wants to have a combat jj super fight against me?

It would appear that for now, the Combat Jiu-Jitsu debut of Gordon Ryan will not take place against Kevin Casey after all, which may come as a disappointment to fans of either or both of these competitors.
