A family in the jiu-jitsu community is trying to get back on their feet after their house caught fire on Christmas day this year.
Armando Meneses, his wife Becca Duross, and their three-and-a-half-year-old son are now asking for help after their beloved home in Pennsylvania was destroyed by the fire. Though everyone is safe, the family lost virtually all of their belongings.

Meneses is a two-stripe purple belt under Thiago and Daniel Tavares at the SAS Affiliate House of Arts Jiu Jitsu in Drexel Hill, PA. He’s been training for five and a half years and says that his son has been going to practices and competitions with him since he was just weeks old.

Anyone wishing to make donations to help the family get back on their feet can do so via Venmo (@Rebecca-Duross) or PayPal (rscamail@gmail.com). Physical donations are paused for the moment as the family searches for more permanent housing, but they will soon be setting up a wishlist on Amazon to cover what they need.
