Last Saturday wasn’t only day 3 of the Pan. UFC London took place the same day in London.
As well as local fighter Jimi Manuwa’s incredible knockout over Corey Anderson in the main event, something else stood out: Gunnar Nelson’s use of BJJ vs. Alan Jouban.
A karateka with vast ground knowledge — having even had good showings in the ADCC, — Gunnar Nelson again paraded his finishing skills in the Octagon.
After throwing a clean blow on Jouban, which shook him, Nelson charged and used a tight guillotine to finish. Note how Gunnar’s arm passes almost completely by Jouban’s neck, making the required adjustment the absolute minimum when it was time to tighten the neck.
