Big Monster through to Bellator GP final

Thiago “Big Monster” was quick on the trigger and won his Bellator GP semifinal against Neil Grove this Saturday in Kansas City, USA. The Brazilian landed a straight punch that dazed and dropped his South African opponent to the ground, where he followed up by taking back mount and sinking a rear-naked choke. The win marks the tenth of his career and fourth in a row. In the other bracket, Erick Prindle made it to the final just as swiftly, knocking out Ron Sparks in just 40 seconds.

Now in the main event, Ben Askren had his work cut out for him against Jay Hieron, winning a split decision and hanging on to his welterweight title.
