Bellator heavyweight champion Ryan Bader and UFC veteran CB Dollaway have officially earned their black belts in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
Both fighters were promoted on the same day by Team Kimura founder Jair Lourenço Gurgel, who shared a heartfelt message about his students in a post about the promotion.
Bader and Dollaway noted in their own celebratory posts that they’ve each been training for fifteen years. Bader earned his brown belt in February 2020, also from Lourenço.
Dollaway (who now fights for Rizin) and Bader are also Submission Underground veterans; Dolloway faced Richie Martinez on the same card in which Bader challenged champion Mason Fowler for the title.
Congratulations to Ryan Bader and CB Dolloway!
