Australia’s Healy Dayan, a purple belt competitor currently training out of B-Team, will face down New Wave’s increasingly unstoppable-looking teen star Helena Crevar at Tezos WNO 19, per a FloGrappling announcement. Dayan replaces Crevar’s original opponent Ally Wolski, following a skateboarding accident that reportedly left Wolski with two fractures, a torn ligament, and a dislocation. Wolski plans to undergo surgery for her injuries, which are estimated to take her out of jiu-jitsu competition for at least half a year.
Meanwhile, Dayan — who’s appeared in a number of high-profile no-gi superfights, including a match against brown belt Nicole Mathew — will be making her WNO debut as Wolski’s replacement. Though lesser known than Crevar, Dayan boasts an impressive overall grappling pedigree, including a silver medal finish in wrestling at the Melbourne Open. She’s also trained under Lachlan Giles — arguably one of the best leg lockers on the planet — back home in Australia at Absolute MMA St. Kilda.
Dayan vs Crevar will stream from FloGrappling on Thursday, August 10, as part of Tezos WNO 19: Meregali vs Duarte.
