Michael Bisping and Anthony Smith recently had a conversation in which they’ve discussed Andrew Tate’s claims about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu… And they had a lot to say.
Smith acknowledged that BJJ isn’t the best option against multiple attackers:
I don’t think he was all the way wrong. If you’re with multiple attackers, then Jiu-Jitsu in and of itself is a slippery slope.
That’s going to be tough if that’s all you know or that’s all you’re allowed to use.
However, the UFC’s light heavyweight also had a unique challenge in mind for Tate:
If Andrew Tate wants to have a competition, you’ll be able to bite, you’ll be able to scratch, and you can even have a knife…
And it’s just me and you and we’re in a room – and all I can use is Jiu-Jitsu and all you can do is kickbox, I’m leaving that room with whatever was in your pockets, one hundred percent.
In a one-on-one environment… A black belt in Jiu-Jitsu versus someone that’s not, I’ll take the black-belt all day long.
The moves that you do in Jiu-Jitsu are going to kill you.If you’re not the type of person that’s going around getting involved in gang fights, if it’s just you and someone is trying to start and be the aggressor with you, having Jiu-Jitsu is very bloody useful, Andrew Tate.
