As reported by several American websites, Mark Coleman will see action no more, at least not in the UFC octagon. Soon after his last fight, where he lost via submission to Randy Couture, at UFC 109, the organization’s president, Dana White, offered some clues.
“I think that what happened tonight was probably Coleman’s last fight in the UFC. He will always be part of this organization, I just think he will have a hard time competing against guys at a high level. Age is a factor for him,” said White.
And UFC 109 seems to have been traumatic for some fighters. Another veteran dropped by the organization is Frank Trigg, who confirmed the news to MMAJunkie. Last Saturday the fighter was knocked out by Matt Serra.
