ADCC Champion Rodolfo Viera Announces MMA Plans

2015 ADCC World Champion Rodolfo Viera of Grappling Fight Team has announced he will be making his professional Mixed Martial Arts debut with Japan-based promotions Real Fight in October 2016. The 4-time IBJJF World Champion and native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil announced his signing through his Instagram account and where he wrote

“For everybody who asked me, now it’s for real! In October 2016 will officially debut in MMA. This weekend I was in Yokohama in Japan to meet with the organizers of the Real Fight and finalize the details of the contract! On that occasion I was able to attend the event and be presented to the audience. The video shows a little of the presentation. Who wants to see the full video in a moment I will ever post on my fanpage on Facebook. I am very happy with everything that is happening around my return to MMA. Wednesday I will do my surgery and then is total focus on recovery and early training.”

MMAfighting.com reported the 26-year old Viera will get hip surgery this week and then moved to Coconut Creek, FL to train for his debut with American Top Team.
