Another athlete is out of the 2013 ADCC in Beijing, China due to a knee injury. For the same reason as Rodolfo Vieira and Alliance teammate Bernardo Faria, Michael Langhi will not be participating in the event.
On his Facebook he writes:
Unfortunately I would like to inform you that I will be out of ADCC 2013 in China. I had a knee injury in the medial collateral ligament, nothing that needs surgery, but unfortunately I will not be able to fight. Everyone who knows me knows I do not give up and we’ve fought injuries and even surgery before. But this time I won’t be able to. I am very sad about this, because I would love to be present at the biggest grappling event in the world, but we can confuse being brave with being dumb. And if I have another knee trauma have a high probability of needing surgery. I would like to apologize to and also thank the ADCC organization for remembering my name and inviting me. I hope to be back in the next edition of the event. Thank you to all who support me.”
The event is scheduled for Oct. 19-20 in Beijing, China. Stay tuned for more updates on the official ADCC roster as the event nears.
