Jujitsu great Rafael Lovato Jr. can add yet another major title to his serious resume this weekend. Lovato defeated Gegard Mousasi for the Bellator middleweight title winning by a majority decision in London.
The win was rooted largely in Lovato’s dominant ground game, for which Mousasi had zero answers. Mousasi landed strikes, including one nasty elbow early on and a hail of mounted punches during the final round, but otherwise found himself being taken down again and again, unable to advance.
