The athletes who are a part of the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation got some great news recently as the IBJJF increases cash prizes for top ranking blackbelt. That is some awesome news for all the men and women who are competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, because the financial bump will be giving them even more incentive to not only get more victories, but improve their already amazing skill set. As of now, 1st place winners for both genders will receive $15,000, while second place for both genders will get $4,000 and third place for both genders will be getting $1,000. Also, a total of $10,000 will be split up between the other ranked men and women, so they get a piece of the pie as well. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitors are some of the most fierce competitors in all of combat sports and the promise of more money will easily raise the stakes for them all.
