Dimitrius Souza rounds out the list of athletes vying for the heavyweight GP’s title.
The eight fighters who will fight for the top prize of 40,000 dollars at the IBJJF Pro League are now known. They will go at it Aug. 26 in Vegas.
The last vacancy has been filled by Dimitrius Souza (Alliance). He joins Marcus Buchecha, Roger Gracie, André Galvão, Leandro Lo, João Gabriel Rocha, Mahamed Aly and Ricardo Evangelista.
The tireless Erberth Santos had been rumored to be the final name. “I was indeed invited to the GP,” he said. “It was my choice not to fight. I’m thankful for the love of everybody who wanted to see me fighting, but I just want to watch this one.”
The tourney also pays 10,000 dollars to the runner-up.
