2015 ADCC: Joao Miyao Out, And The Reason Why Michael Musumeci Should Take The Open Spot

Recently, the ADCC announced that Joao Miyao would sit out its event from August 29-30. No reason was mentioned for him dropping out of the competition that takes place in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Regardless of the reason, that means that one final spot is available for the event. A number of talented fighters could be added to the mix, but no announcement has been made yet.

In any case, Michael Musumeci makes perfect sense for the event. He has two strong wins under his black belt and no losses.Mikey Musumeci is an IBJJF World Champion 2015 brown, 2014 purple, 2013 and 2012 juvenile blue. For these reasons, he belongs in that final spot for the ADCC event. It remains to be seen whether that will happen or not. Musumeci’s achievements speak for themselves. Miyao’s dropping out could open a big opportunity for Mikey. Without a doubt, plenty of fans would love his addition to the competition.
