The only thing missing at the 2015 ADCC are the actual matches.
All athletes have done the first official weigh-in this Friday afternoon and the rules were explained for the athletes and coaches.
After all that, the brackets were drawn and released by the event.
Here they are.
Some athletes and coaches complained among each other about how the names were divided in each bracket.
The -66kg and the -77kg divisions were specially criticized for having most of the favorites on the same side.
Teammates also were not happy for being put to face each other on the early rounds, like Otavio Sousa and AJ Agazarm, set to fight each other in the first round, or Abraham Marte and João Gabriel Rocha, possible opponents in the +99kg second round.
As always, the ADCC took no consideration for team affiliations.
Here is the schedule for this Saturday.
07:00 – GATES OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
07:00 – 9:30 – WEIGH-INS FOR ALL COMPETITIORS
09:30 – STARTING OF EVENT WITH “SPECIAL SUPERFIGHT” AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TO THE QUARTER FINALS OF ALL WEIGHT CLASSES
Event is starting from Over 99kg category to lightest. SUPER FIGHT – Mario Sperry VS. Ricardo Liborio (last fight of the day)
