In November 1950, Helio Gracie was asked by a Japanese emissary if he would accept a fight with a Japanese Judo champion. Gracie, of course, indicated that he would. Gracie would eventually go on to fight Masahiko Kimura, but first he fought 5th degree Judo black belt, Yukio Kato. This is their fight:
