Not too many people knew about this situation that Andre Galvao went through. I clearly remember getting the phone call in the middle of the night and going to the hospital to pick them up. Andre and Angelica had only the clothes on their back. He and Angelica had lost everything! Everything!!!!
We came to my house from the hospital and I gave Andre some of my surf clothes so he'd have something to wear. Obviously it didn't fit him very well : ) Then after something like three hours we drove back to the house and with flashlights looked for anything that had survived the fire and after looking at this burned out everything we found their passports inside his Bible. Crazy but true.
