August 22’s UFC lineup has undergone a big change following the removal of one of the fighters who was scheduled to co-headline the event in Nevada.
Yoel Romero has reportedly had to pull out of his middleweight fight against Uriah Hall, as initially shared by BJPenn.com.
The reasons for Romero’s withdrawal from the fight haven’t been disclosed.
The fight would’ve been Romero’s first since March, when he battled Israel Adesanya to a decision loss. The defeat was Romero’s third decision loss in a row, which follow up a KO victory against Luke Rockhold.
Hall’s fate on the card still hasn’t been revealed, and it’s unclear whether he’ll be removed from the card or fight a new opponent.
Hall hasn’t fought since last September, when he defeated Antonio Carlos Jr. via split decision. It was his second consecutive win.
