Yan Pica-Pau wins double gold at Brasilia Open
Yan exhibits his two gold medals.
Held at Cruzeiro Gymnasium in the Federal District this weekend, the IBJJF’s Brasilia Open gathered the strongest BJJ fighters from the Brazilian Midwest.
Yan Pica-Pau of Ribeiro JJ stole the show with titles in the middleweight and absolute divisions.
To reach the top of the middleweight field, Yan finished Fabrício Barbarotti (Cícero Costha). In the absolute, Yan faced Raul Almeida (Nova União), who had claimed the ultra-heavyweight crown earlier that Sunday, and managed to finish again, making it a perfect six-win weekend.
