The brackets for the black belt absolute division of the Worlds 2010 have just been set.
36 athletes signed up for the category.
Of the big names at the Worlds expected in the open weight class, Márcio Pé de Pano and Ricardo Demente were absent.

Marcelo Garcia was not part of the duo from Alliance.
The winners of Bracket 1 and Bracket 2 will make up one semifinal, and the winners of brackets 2 and 4 will make up the other semifinal to determine the absolute black belt finalists.
Through on bys in each bracket are Roger Gracie (1), Gabriel Vella (2), Xande Ribeiro (3) and Rômulo Barral (4).
