Current WNO: Ste-Marie vs. Bastos full card line-up:
Main card
- Brianna Ste-Marie vs. Mayssa Bastos
- Jacob Couch vs. Bruno Mathias
- Cole Abate vs. Damien Anderson
- Haisam Rida vs. Luke Griffith
- Ethan Crelinsten vs. Fabricio Andrey
Preliminary Card
- Derek Rayfield vs. Jozef Chen

The main event represents an intriguing clash of styles. The Canadian Ste-Marie will be the bigger, heavier athlete, and she’ll look to use her old-school style of jiu-jitsu – closed guard, half guard, and pressure passing – to deal with the crafty Bastos.
Considered by many to be one of the most technical pound-for-pound grapplers in the world, Bastos is a three-time IBJJF world champion in the gi and a two-time no-gi world champion. And while she has struggled recently against larger opponents at the ADCC World Championships and the IBJJF grand prix, Bastos’ aggressive open guard game lends itself well to the WNO submission-only ruleset.
And in the co-main event, top Daisy Fresh representative Jacob Couch squares off with Gracie Barra’s Bruno Mathias. A veteran of nine WNO matches, Couch is one of the sport’s best leg lockers, but has recently showed off a highly effective closed guard and positional game.
Mathias is relatively new to the elite no-gi competition scene, but already has an impressive black belt resume, including gold medals at both gi and no-gi American Nationals.
Lower still on the card, 17-year old prodigy Cole Abate will face the B-Team’s Damien Anderson, who steps up on short notice to replace Josh Cisneros. Training under the Mendes brothers at Art of Jiu-Jitsu, Abate possesses an excellent positional game that will clash with Anderson’s speedy scrambles and dangerous leg lock attack.
Also, Assembly Jiu-Jitsu’s Haisam Rida meets New Wave’s Luke Griffith in a battle of recent ADCC veterans. Rida has quietly put together an impressive 5-1 WNO record, establishing himself as one of the best heavyweights in grappling. To that end, Rida picked up a spectacular armbar win over former ADCC absolute champion Roberto “Cyborg” Abreu at the ADCC World Championships.
Griffith, though, poses a stiff test. An ADCC Trials winner, he has the physicality to match Rida and is skilled in all areas.
And in the first match of the main card, B-Team representative Ethan Crelinsten takes on fan-favorite Fabricio Andrey in a match-up that’s sure to deliver high-paced action from start to finish.
