Both the main and co-main event of Who’s Number One: Jones vs. Panza went by in the blink of an eye. First, Mikey Musumeci took home his second consecutive submission at WNO and his second consecutive no-gi submission in a quick match against Lucas Pinheiro. Then, Craig Jones finished his main event match against Luiz Panza in under a minute.
Main Event
Craig Jones vs. Luiz Panza
Jones immediately pulled guard and worked his way past Panza’s low passing attempts to latch onto a leg. From there, it was only a matter of seconds before he worked Panza into an inside heel hook and got the tap. The entire match lasted only 47 seconds.
Jones was declared the winner by submission.
Co-Main Event
Mikey Musumeci vs. Lucas Pinheiro
Musumeci immediately pulled guard and attacked a leg, and Pinheiro rolled away to try to extract his limb. In doing so, he rolled himself and Musumeci out of bounds, and the ref restarted them with Musumeci still attached to the leg. A few more adjustments, and Musumeci transitioned to an inside heel hook, getting the tap in about a minute and 26 seconds into the match.
Mikey Musumeci was declared the winner by submission.
