On Friday, January 21, FloGrappling will host its first Who’s Number One (WNO) event of the year, live from Dallas, TX. The card will feature three WNO title matches, including the main event between ADCC silver medalist Craig Jones and 2021 IBJJF no-gi Worlds double gold medalist Pedro Marinho.
The main event will see Jones put his undefeated WNO record on the line against Marinho, who will be making his WNO debut. The pair will battle for the inaugural WNO light heavyweight title.
In the co-main event, Atos representative Tye Ruotolo will look to become the first WNO double champion, as he will be taking on Unity Jiu-Jitsu’s Levi Jones-Leary for the welterweight title. Ruotolo captured the middleweight belt at the WNO Championships in September 2021. This will be Jones-Leary’s second WNO appearance; he defeated Oliver Taza by decision in October 2021.
Opening up the main card will be a third title match. Mikey Musumeci has stepped up on just eight-day’s notice to replace Jon Calestine; he will be taking on the always-entertaining Estevan Martinez. Musumeci’s WNO bantamweight title will be on the line.
As usual, all matches will be submission-only. In the event a submission does not occur within regulation, three mat-side judges will render a decision.
