Preparations for the second edition of the World Jiu-Jitsu Expo continue at a fast pace. The event promoted by Renzo Gracie will be held on 9 and 10 of November, in Long Beach, Calif., and the attractions look promising.
On Wednesday, organizers confirmed the presence of another star in one of the superfights. Three-time world heavyweight champion Rodolfo Vieira was invited and agreed to do a no-gi match. He does not yet have an opponent, and the Expo counts with readers of GRACIEMAG to select a worthy adversary. The other fight confirmed so far is between Bruno Malfacine and Jeff Glover.
“I was at the World Jiu-Jitsu Expo last year and really enjoyed it. I was happy with the invitation, and I’ll fight anyone they match me up against,” Rodolfo says. “I asked Renzo to fight no-gi because I will be gearing up for the ADCC in China. So I can just keep doing my no-gi training for the Expo,” says the 2011 absolute world champion.
The Expo also features around 12 free seminars, with Guilherme and Rafael Mendes, Ryron and Rener Gracie, among many other world-class professors. Idols like Rickson and Royce Gracie also guaranteed their presence in afternoons of autographs.
