Holland’s Alistair Overeem has been on a roll and is in the spotlight as one of the greatest heavyweight fighters in the world. The Strikeforce champion surprised stalwart strikers like Peter Aerts to crown himself K-1 World GP champion.
His last win came at Dynamite!!, the tournament bringing Dream promotion’s 2010 season to a close, on December 31. On a ten-fight winning streak, it took Overeem just nineteen seconds to take out former UFC fighter Todd Duffee and win the organization’s interim belt.
