The BJJ U.S. Open held its 21st edition last weekend in Santa Cruz, Calif. João Gabriel Rocha and Rafael “Formiga” Barbosa closed out the absolute and secured the $1,000 prize.
A semifinal saw João Gabriel finish Francisco Iturralde (Alliance); the other didn’t happen, as Tarsis Humphreys (Alliance) was injured.
Osvaldo “Queixinho” Moizinho beat the lightweight field. Tanner Rice was victorious at heavyweight.
